Albuquerque, NM - Waiting for sunset

St. Paul Lutheran’s eight‑circuit brick labyrinth sits in a landscaped garden on the east side of the church, just a short hop from downtown Albuquerque. It was dedicated for the congregation’s 125th anniversary, so it feels intentionally integrated into the grounds rather than an afterthought. Because it’s outdoors and subtly lit at night, you can wander over almost any time for a quiet, contemplative walk, even around sunset when the campus calms down. If you’re curious about trying a labyrinth for prayer or simple reflection, this is an easy, low‑key place to start without leaving the city. The night prior to our visit, the labyrinth had been lit by luminaries for Christmas Eve.
