Just a few steps from Chicago's Magnificent Mile is St. James Cathedral. Of the zillion people who walk on the luxury shopping drag, very few probably venture down the side street toward the church. But they should. About 10 years ago, the church created a small public common area park space that is a bit of an oasis. For me, the featured attraction is of course a labyrinth. It's ornate, compact and is set back from the rest of the common space. And springtime proved a very colorful time for a visit.
