My labyrinth searches often take me to local schools. My preference is to visit the schools on weekends or off hours so the school officials don't have to bother with me, but sometimes my schedule doesn't work out. I spotted this labyrinth behind the Montessori School of Downtown in Columbia, SC.
The school is a collection of small buildings that take up an entire city block in a quiet neighborhood just off a fairly busy road. The school staff graciously let me visit the grounds and walk their stone labyrinth. They said that the students often walk (or run) it during the day.
The design is based on the labyrinth of wisdom, one of the nine celestial-inspired labyrinth designs.
