Washington, DC - Sanctuary center

The labyrinth inside this church in the nation's capital is surrounded by a beautiful sanctuary space. Stained glass windows, a raised roof and pews are also there, but the labyrinth has a place in honor in the middle of the large hall. I was impressed that it was so prominent and hadn't been overrun by other needs of the church. It's an active church with concert performances, poetry meetings, group classes and much more. I visited on a busy weekday and it was clear that the church is an important gathering spot all week long, not just on Sundays. This is inside the Church of the Epiphany, two blocks to the east of the White House.
