West Barnstable, MA - Cape woodlands

This is called the Woodland Labyrinth at Meetinghouse Farm, an appropriate name given that the rock formation is nested in the woods. It’s a very short walk down a path from the main garden area to the labyrinth, which was well-maintained. There were numerous signs warning that the area is a tick habitat, which is true of much of Cape Cod. Meetinghouse Farm is in West Barnstable, Massachusetts, near the western end of the Cape. It’s a community-guided program around farming and gardening, and spans more than 20 acres. It is volunteer-run and offers a wide variety of community events. The labyrinth path was completed about three years and there are plans for further signage and landscaping around it. It is accessible and worth the short detour from my other Cape activities. According to Meetinghouse Farm’s website, it is one of just 12 labyrinths on public land in Massachusetts.
